Woody Boyd is a tax, accounting and valuation partner. He serves clients in various industries with a range of services, including tax preparation for individuals and businesses; tax planning and consultations; valuation services; litigation support; business planning for individuals, partnerships and corporations; financial statement compilations and reviews; and other attest services (agreed upon procedures).

Woody has more than 12 years of public accounting experience, having originally joined the Firm in 1998. He received a Master of Science in accounting from Texas Tech University in 2000, with an emphasis in accounting, and a BBA in Accounting from College of the Southwest in 1998. Woody became a Certified Public Accountant in 2002, and in 2003 he earned his Certified Valuation Analyst credentials and became Accredited in Business Valuations. Prior to entering public accounting, Woody was a credit analyst with a community bank, and in 2000 he went back into industry briefly, to be a controller for a seed company, before re-joining the Firm in 2001.

Woody has been involved with numerous professional and civic organizations, including the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA); the South Plains Chapter of TSCPA, for which he is the President-Elect and past vice president and treasurer; the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA); and United Way of Lubbock, for which he is a current board member and Chairman of the Finance Committee, as well as a former member or chairman of various other committees and a past loaned executive. Woody is also a former board member and treasurer of CASA of the South Plains, and a past volunteer for Lubbock Habitat for Humanity.

Woody enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, Fran, and their two children, including going to all of the kids’ gymnastics meets and little league games. He also enjoys working in his yard and following the Texas Tech Athletic programs.
