T. Brent Redford, CPA

Brent Redford is the partner in charge of audit and attest services. He is the engagement partner on the firm’s financial statement audits and many of the compilation, review, and other agreed upon procedures engagements, in addition to providing GAAP, financial reporting and internal control consultation services, fraud and forensic services, and litigation support. Brent has experience in many different industries, including financial institutions, healthcare, oil & gas, government, not-for-profit, employee benefit plans, manufacturing, technology & communications, and others.

Brent has more than 11 years of public accounting experience, having graduated from Texas Tech University in 1999 with a Master of Science in Accounting and a BBA in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude. After a 1999 internship, he began his career in January of 2000 with Ernst & Young (E&Y), Dallas, and he became a Certified Public Accountant later that year. While at E&Y, Brent was a member of the Technology, Communications and Entertainment practice, and he led the campus recruiting efforts at Texas Tech. Brent worked for KPMG, Austin, from 2003-2004, and he joined RBMS in November of 2004.

Brent holds memberships in or has been involved with many professional and civic organizations. He is a current member, and former board member for the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and a current board member for the South Plains Chapter of TSCPA. Brent is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and he is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Lubbock. He is active with United Way of Lubbock, for which he is a former division chair and current team leader, and he has been active with Lubbock’s Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes and the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.

Brent enjoys spending his spare time with his daughter, Molly, and his two dogs. He is an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Tech athletic programs, and also enjoys spending time at the lake, traveling, working on his house, and cooking out.
